The Garmin forerunner 405cx sports watch has technology galore and is one of the more sophisticated innovations in performance and fitness tools to have recently reached the market. One great feature is the simplicty and ease of transfering excerise data from the Garmin 405 to your computer - no need for wires or cables Once you are done with the run, downloading it to your computer couldn't be easier. Simply walk into the room where the ANT Stick is plugged into the computer, and it automatically downloads. From there, you can analyze your run with Garmin's software.
However although this is an enhancment to the 405 and has improved GPS accuracy amongst other improvements it still is not fully waterproof - so if you are a multi-sports competitor or a keen swimmer and have the neccessity of this feature then the 310XT will be the watch for you.
Without the numerous buttons of other earlier models the 405 cx is alot smaller and slimmer making it suitable to be used as an everyday watch not just as a running companion. The innovative and patented touch bezel allows screens to be easily changed with out fumbling to press numerous buttons.
The Forerunner 405 cx can also be used on a MTB or road cycle although the additional accessories of Garmin Bike Mount for the Forerunner will be required (costs around £10).
